“My wife and I had the privilege of taking a tour with Galavant Private Tours—and this was no ordinary tour. The guide, who is also the owner/operator, was fantastic. Her deep knowledge of the area and quick read of our travel style made for a personalized and truly memorable experience.
With an overall theme of environmental awareness, local culture, and natural beauty, the day was thoughtfully paced and filled with great stops. We started at Fisherman’s Wharf before it woke up for the day, giving us a chance to take stunning photos in the calm of the morning. From there, we visited the Malahat Skywalk, followed by a lunch stop and wine tasting at Unsworth Vineyards. After that, we walked the beautiful grounds and gardens of Hatley Castle—absolutely stunning.
Between each main destination, she found hidden beaches and viewpoints that we would have completely missed on our own. Even after the tour ended, she gave us a great list of other spots to explore, eat, and enjoy around Victoria.

I was only in Victoria for 3 nights, and wanted to see as much of the city as possible. I was interested particularly in Butchart Gardens and Malahat Observation Tower. Melanie provided me with lots of historical information while stopping at points of interest, and some special requests from me! She has a comfortable van, and is such a happy and positive person! She even shared her favorite coffee and donut shop with me! This was the best possible tour for me travelling alone with limited time and I can easily see her providing an educational tour for any small group as well!
